Prior to the wash, all rugs are sun-dried and thoroughly dusted. Besides visible stains, the fibers collect fine dust over time which has an impact on the foundation of the rug but can also carry unwanted bacteria.

Once all dust has been removed the rug gets fully submerged in water followed by an eco-friendly, non-toxic wash.

We use a gentle detergent to maintain the natural oil and the lushness of the fiber. After the rug has been washed and released from the remaining soap it will be fully dried and re-stretched.
